Prison Ministry

Huntsville Church of Christ supports Huntsville Institutional Ministry (HIM) which ministers to the greatest concentration of prisons in the country with one of the largest ministry of its kind.

HIM's mission statement is as follows:  "To make the gospel available to all men regardless of their past lives."

Seven prisons are in Huntsville, Texas and another six more are in a 30-minute radius.  HIM provides Sunday worship services on multiple units; weekly bible study, mentoring; visits; provides bibles and other literature; and assists offenders upon release.  HCOC prison ministry volunteers work closely with Huntsville Institutional Ministry.
